What is the difference between a Tongan fale and a Superior fale ?

The fale buildings and interior design are identical, while the main differences are the amenities and location. The amenities difference is that only the Superior fale is equipped with a small fridge, coffee/tea facilities. In addition Tongan fales are located a bit further back from the Restaurant and beach access.

Are standard rooms also fales (bungalows)?

No, Standard rooms are not fales (bungalows). Standard rooms are located in a long building that also houses the communal guest kitchen at one end and the communal toilet and shower at the other end.

Does the breakfast is included in the room rate? What does the breakfast consist of?

Yes, the breakfast is included in the room rate. The complementary island style breakfast normally includes: A serving of fruit, white bread, pancake, butter, homemade jam and unlimited access to coffee & tea, and the breakfast differs every day. Extra breakfast items; such as bacon, egg, cereal, corn bread & more are generally available and can be ordered during breakfast. We also provide our homemade breakfast sets for our customers.

What does the Heilala family house like?

Unlike our fales, Heilala Family House is a modernized unit with two adjacent bedrooms, bathroom, spacious living room, kitchen and balconies. Well-equipped and well-situated, the unit creates a unique and wonderful experience for you and your family to enjoy the Tongan sunshine, beach and tranquility.

What does the new two-floor villa like?

The green and environmental friendly light steel structured Two-Floor Villa is featured with hurricane-proof and earthquake-resistant. The 2-bedroom apartment is located in the first floor with 2 bedrooms and each with a bathroom inside, living room, kitchen, air-conditioner, washing machine, stoves, refrigerator and other facilities, and there are two 1-bedroom apartments in the second floor, there is one bedroom with bathroom inside, living room, balcony, refrigerator and other facilities inside. Please note that there is no kitchen, no air-conditioner, washing machine in the second-floor apartments while there are fans.

Do you offer pick up and drop off?

For the customers who make the booking directly with us (not through an agent) and stay for at least 3 consecutive nights we could offer free pick up from the airport (both international and domestic) and the city. While for other customers who make the booking directly with us (not through an agent) and stay for less than 3 nights, we also could offer pick up from the airport and city , while we will charge , and please visit the ROOMS & RATES to learn more. Please note that for all drop off we will charge and please the ROOMS & RATES to learn more.

Do you offer car rental?

Yes we offer car rental and there are 2 vehicles are available, and the rate of Toyota bB (5 seats) is TOP 70 per day and the rate of Toyota Estima (7 seats) is TOP 100 per day.

Are there any other notifications?

Attention! For YOUR SAFETY:

• When swimming, be aware to coral reef, ALWAYS wear aqua shoes or diving boots to prevent cut/penetrating injuries(we have aqua shoes at reception)
• When hiking outside of the resort perimeter, STAY AWAY from dog packs to prevent potential injuries. They are territorial and aggressive.
• When driving/walking outside of the resort, please WATCH OUT for vehicles, Drunk while driving is the cause of majority of the accidents here.

Reception:

• Normal working hour from 8:00 to 20:00
• Emergency outside normal hour, please come to night reception
• Night reception is in the utility house with a sign of “night reception” on the door OR contact 8723376 to resort supervisor.

Housekeeping:

• Room serves three times a week (normally Monday, Wednesday and Friday, may vary depends on weather and other factors)
• If you need anything done on non-serves days, please talk to the reception

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner:

• Island style breakfast is available from 8:00 to 9:30
• Lunch and dinner menu can be found at the reception, and NEED TO BE PRE-ORDERED, lunch before 10:00 and dinner before 14:00; lunch is served between 12:00 and 13:00 and dinner is served at 18:30

Wifi service:

• As we position our resort as an ideal getaway, our holiday resort DO NOT provide Wifi serves. However, if needed, you can purchase temporary SIM card for internet access from Digicel Store in downtown

Communal kitchen:

• Locate at the center of the long house and open from 8:00 to 21:00

Laundry:

• Provide laundry serves three times a week, but may vary depend on weather, water or power supply and laundry service is charged

Round Trip transportation between the downtown and Heilala

• As requested we could offer round trip transportation between the downtown and Heilala, we could drive the customer to the downtown for shopping, business, drinking coffee, going to the hospital etc, and we charge T$ 70 for the round trip transfers, while if waiting is needed, the first hour is for free while from the second hour the rate is T$20 per hour.

Tonga is still untouched by mass tourism. It provides a unique experience of experiencing the traditional way of live. This also leads to the result of services not being as readily as available as it could be expected in more developed world. We hope you can understand.
